Events
Below are the forthcoming and previous events organised or supported by the Legal Humanities Association. Current calls for participation, convening, or other kinds of event involvement are listed in the ‘Open Calls’ section. Please see the details on events pages or flyers for further information. We are also happy to include calls and details for member events on this page: feel free to request this by email.
Want to Propose an Event?
In addition to the specific ‘Open Calls’ below, the LHA welcomes proposals for other events organised by members (note that this is not a funded call: see LHA Funding for details of funding available). Please contact the LHA Events Officer (events@legalhumanities.com) with your suggestions, using ‘LHA events’ in the email subject line. There are no restrictions on the types of events, provided they reflect the ethos and aims of the LHA in an inclusive manner .
For reference, Art 3(1) of the LHA Constitution sets out the aims and purposes of the LHA. These are:
(a) to foster and support the development of cultural understandings of law and humanities-inflected legal scholarship,
(b) to nurture and maintain an open community of scholars working in these areas, and
(c) to facilitate personal, professional, intellectual, and scholarly development.
